The “Civic Leaders Engagement and Get Out To Vote (GOTV)©” program provides a safe and positive environment for our 21st Century Unified Muslim Society’s members to connect with our civic leaders in order to make an informed decisions when it is time to get out to vote, InshaAllah!
Voting is one of the fundamental pillars of freedom, human rights, and democracy, Allahu Akbar! In North America, we are blessed with this civic right because of the heroic sacrifices that our forefathers have fought for us. In many other parts of the world today, voting is either impermissible or not fully democratic. It is therefore, not only our civic duty to voting, but our gratitude to honour this blessed civic right that we have, that many others in other parts of the word neither have the knowledge to seek for nor the freedom to have it.
To ensure we are completely engaged with our civic leaders in order to Get Out To Vote for the leaders that truly meet our civic needs and civic visions, this program focus on “Civic Policies & Legislations with Get Out To Vote” which includes:
- Real time integration with US. Senators, U.S. Congressmen, and 50 States’ Senate Members; as well as local cities and counties’ officials in United States of America.
- Ability to search and review civic policies, legislative bills, sponsors, interest groups, and campaign activities.
- Ability to contact the above civic leaders, provide feedback/input, collaborate on initiatives (e.g., Muslim Day Capitol), and enable petitions to sign up.
- Capability to drive Get Out To Vote with real-time integration with:
- Social Communication (e.g., SMS alerts, reminders, chats)
- Social Media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram)
- Live Streaming (e.g., live events or campaigns on the streets, at the election stations, etc.)
The program ensures engagement with civic leaders and access to information are available in order for all of us to make an informed decision when it is time to fulfill not only our civic duty, but also to honour our blessed civic right to Get Out To Vote, InshaAllah!
